We’re jumping with both feet into National Novel Writing Month! It’s an annual write-a-thon in which writers challenge themselves to buckle down and write 50,000 words of fiction between November 1 and November 30. The idea is to finish your first draft, if possible. Save the editing for later!
At these meetings, we will briefly share our experience with NaNoWriMo, our approaches to getting ourselves to sit down and start writing, and some success stories of previous NaNoWriMo participants. Then we’ll settle in for a good chunk of time to write.
Bring your laptop or tablet of paper, and be prepared to channel your writing muse! This is a NaNoWriMo “support group,” not a writing workshop. For more information about how NaNoWriMo works, visit the NaNoWriMo website.
