Director of the UW-Madison Insect Diagnostic Lab PJ Liesch will introduce the bees and other pollinators of Wisconsin, discuss the risks they face and what we can do to help encourage our imperiled pollinators.
Liesch earned his master’s degree in entomology at UW-Madison. In the lab, he identifies insects, spiders and other arthropods, and insect-damaged material for UW County Extension offices and the general public from across Wisconsin. In addition to teaching with the UW Madison Department of Entomology, Liesch conducts outreach presentations about insects around the state. Liesch is a regular guest on Wisconsin Public Radio’s Larry Meiller Show.
The May 16 program is free. No registration is necessary. The program is co-sponsored by the library and the Sauk County Master Gardener Association.
